Since purchasing the platform, Musk held the first official all-hands meeting for the business, according to Bloomberg.

He warned employees of “difficult times ahead” for advertising-driven companies like Twitter and stated his desire for subscription fees to make up half of the business’s revenue.

During the pandemic, Twitter promoted a remote work environment that allowed many employees to work from home.

Musk’s other companies, SpaceX and Tesla, also require mandatory in-office work unless management approves it, while Twitter’s turnaround will require “intense work,” according to Musk.

It also established regular additional rest days for employees, another initiative Musk has axed.
