Thunder Awaken Dota 2

➡ The biggest shakeup in the history of the South American professional scene is anticipated following a record-breaking year at The International 2022.

Thunder Awaken have already lost two players to their regional rivals, beastcoast, just days after TI11 concluded in Singapore.

The first roster change between these two South African teams was already a sign that there would be a significant shakeup in SA.

The beastcoast line-up, which has played in the same style for more than three years, became the longest-lasting in the history of professional Dota 2 in July of this year, whereas TA’s roster was assembled in anticipation of the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit.

However, Thunder Awaken broke the previous record for SA Dota at TI1 by becoming the first team from the region to place in the top 6 at the most important competition of the year.

In addition, TA’s elimination match at TI11 against Team Liquid may have been the most thrilling series of the entire tournament.

However, great success and spectacular performances at TI are typically followed by alluring offers after the competition.

Following the official announcements that Herrera “DarkMago” Gonzalo and Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan would be joining beastcoast for the upcoming competitive season, Thunder Awaken said goodbye to the remaining players and had to retool for the upcoming DPC season.

When this new project started last year, we dreamed of returning to The International and seeking glory, we are happy to have achieved it with you,

After the full roster was made public, TA’s chief executive, Eduardo Ku Bustios, said.

As an organization, we are proud to have competed at a high level at TI11 consolidating a Top 6 […] We are very happy to share these achievements and we express our best wishes for your next challenges. The sky is the limit,

In addition, Eduardo Ku Bustios reaffirmed TA’s dedication to Dota 2 and expressed interest in forming a new team for the 2023 DPC season.
